KILN SHELL TOOL

The KILN SHELL TOOL operates based on a non-contact, precise measurement of the distance to specify deformation of kiln's shell, coolers, mills, or every other type of a large, slow-rotating cylinder. This tool can be used both to measure a specific cross-section being an on-site inspection, as well as to analyse the geometry of each shell (measurement in many places).

Shell of rotary kilns is operating in high temperatures. In case of excessive temperature increase its surface can deflect. High value of local deformations can cause problems with kiln's internal lining, shortening its durability. Moreover, any type of alignment deviation to the shell transfer very high forces to other kiln components causing their gradual and faster wear (i.e. support rollers, tires, girth gear).

KILN SHELL TOOL is a perfect diagnostic device of the geometrical condition of kiln's shell, thanks to which many potential mechanical causes of problems can be detected at an early stage.
